The Little Pink Dress – Workplace Wardrobe Essentials

Summer Office Dress with Blazer

As part of my Workplace Wardrobe Essentials, I’m taking the time to post about the LPD (not LBD) my favorite pink dress to wear to those weekly client meetings and networking lunches.

I am all about the LBD, but every now and then I like to mix up my wardrobe with bright colors and textures. Cue this beauty from LOFT. Its pastel pink and asymmetrical pattern and light fabric is perfect for the hot, sticky summer weather here in Houston. Which is helpful when I’m having a psoriasis flare up. Work dresses don’t have to be your monochromatic colors — have fun with colors!

As I have mentioned before, I still have psoriasis flare ups on my elbows which I can still be a little self conscience about when I have to attend an important meeting at work. For that reason, blazers have become my best friend — and they should become yours too! The right blazer can take an outfit from frumpy to just the right amount of fancy. Just feel like wearing a tee shirt? Throw a blazer on with your dark denim jeans and some heels, and you’re ready to go.

Also, every young professional needs that “IT” bag to carry all your essentials. That’s where my lovely Michael Kors comes in. I’m obsessed with this beauty for three reasons:

1) Its classic black color is perfect for client meetings and networking lunches
2) It’s just big enough to fit my essentials and iPad mini without being oversized
3) The outside pockets are perfect to stash your phone and keys in a hurry and you know exactly where they are.

Depending on how business formal or casual your clients are here are two ways to keep it classy for the clients: LOFT Summer Office Dress LOFT Summer Office Dress_sleeveless MichaelKorsSummerOfficeBag
