This past weekend my husband, his family and I went out to the country AKA Sealy, Texas for the Talbolt’s Annual Crawfish Boil! These cajuns definitely know how to boil up those mudbugs!

If you’ve never been to a crawfish boil, I beg you now (well, after you read my post) to go out and find one in your area before it’s all gone. It is officially crawfish season till the end of July so you still have time. Your tastebuds will thank you later for trying these delicious crustaceans. Heads up, it’s a little messy, but totally worth the mess. So this means don’t wear your Sunday’s best.

Here’s my tips on what to wear:

I used to work at Madewell in Seattle and ever since then I have been OB.SESSED with all things Madewell. Pun intended. Some might get sticker shock when first shopping there but the quality is definitely worth it. I don’t have holes or snags in my clothing after I wash them. I feel better wearing clothes that are made well.

That’s where my shirt and jeans are from. I have literally lived in this shirt for the past 4 days (yes, I washed it!) but it’s just so comfy and versatile! These jeans are some of my fave too. You can dress them up or down – it’s your choice. But I thought this combo was perfect for the crawfish boil. Casual yet still stylish – and you can’t go to a crawfish boil with the cowboy boots! Don’t forget the statement necklace to bring your whole outfit together!
